The purpose of this conference is to create a new unitary framework for understanding the functional relevance of neural oscillations from single neuron recording and animal models to human non-invasive studies. Topic of this conference will include the temporal pattern of neural firing, neural ensembles, coherence between discrete neural populations, distributed coding, large-scale EEG/ECoG correlation, and others.

Regarding the clinical application, we are specially focusing on 1. Parkinson disease, 2. Epilepsy, 3. Stroke rehab and neuroplasticity, 4. Advanced signal processing of human physiologic data.

We expect the wide range of participants including physiologists, clinical neurophysiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, and computational neuroscientists. Especially, students or post-docs are greatly welcomed.

　1929年Hans Bergerによって臨床脳波が報告されて以来、中枢神経系には律動性（オシレーション）が存在することは知られていました。しかし、その機能や生物学的意味については未解明なことが数多くあります。

　この研究会では、オシレーションを示す神経活動?発火の時間的パターン、神経細胞の集合的活動（ニューラルアンサンブル）、空間的に離れた複数の神経活動間の共振やコヒーレンス、脳情報の分散コーディングなどに注目して、単一神経細胞記録やスライス実験のレベルから動物モデル、さらにはヒトでの研究までつないでディスカッションすることを目指します。

　とくに、てんかん、パーキンソン病、統合失調症などの精神神経疾患の病態生理と神経オシレーションの異常（ディスリズミア）に着目して、臨床的応用の可能性も探っていきます。

　ポスター発表も開催し、トラベルグラントも予定しております。これまでオシレーションの研究に触れたことのない方や院生の参加も歓迎いたします。多数の研究者の皆様の参加をお待ちしております。
